That should make you feel special.
Your salvation was not something that just randomly happened. God had been(and is) working to make sure that you spend eternity with Him in Heaven.
God's love and mercy is far bigger and greater than our limited minds can fathom, but we can try and get blown away because of it's depth.This beautiful verse also applies to evangelism. Only God can make someone want and need to accept Jesus as Lord of their lives. We can only plant seed and pray that someone or something gives it water to grow in the person's life.
Our knowledge of the Bible, ability to defend it well, etc is not what will save a soul. Ephesians 2:8-9, one of my favorite bible verses, says we're all saved by grace lest any boast about his salvation as though he/she earned it(my paraphrased version). That means our works(preaching/evangelism,etc) nor their works(accepting Jesus, living a life for Christ) does not earn them salvation.
God calls people to Himself, and saves them through His amazing grace.
