Matthew 18:7-9
7Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to sin! Such things must come, but woe to the man through whom they come! 8If you hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. 9And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.
First of all, this passage from the Holy Word of God isn't saying that you should blind yourself or cut your hand off to be saved(or enter life).
Woe to the man(or woman) through whom they come: These are our infamous secular singers, rappers, etc who intentionally or unintentionally sing songs that help the devil promote sin and sinful living lifestyles.
I'm not going to lie. I don't do this as much as I ought to and I will try to.
Granted, I know that many of these musicians claim and probably don't write their own songs, but they are the agents through which it is being delivered. They need our prayer... prayer works and God changed and is changing the hearts of some of these men and women.
Do join me on this huge but very possible quest. We need to as the end approaches. Christ is returning, and it would be amazing to see them in Heaven, all glorifying God with us.
Remember:
- The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few(Luke 10:2) - We need to help harvest the souls of these influential men and women,
- The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak(Matthew 26:41) - Some of them, even many, might want out, but don't have the grace, strength and ability to pull out, let's pray for God to give them strength and boldness to quit the big-screen if that's what is needed... that can be considered "gouging out your eye to enter life..."
