"Go to church once a week and nobody pays attention. Worship God seven days a week and you become strange!"
- AW Tozer
I have never posted a post this short before (It was short when I posted it... not anymore lol), but yeah, it needs no explanation.
Think about King David in the Bible for instance: David was a man after God's heart; God loves worship and David recognized that. I came across this verse (Psalms 16:2) after searching for the bold phrase above.
I want to be strange to the world just like Jesus was; Even His disciples had to ask, what sort of Man is this [that even the seas obey Him]?
Being strange in a godly way (obeying God and following Him and His commands) is to be commended and encouraged.
Being strange in freaky, eewy kind of way? Yeah, don't do that.
Are you strange? If you don't fit in, if you don't like the everyday things the world considers awesome, etc, then you are most likely a follower and servant of Jesus. You might be seen as strange.
A better term for us who are strange to the world is "Misfit". We do not fit in and are not supposed to.
That doesn't mean that you shouldn't be on fire for God and serve Him completely and totally by going out and preaching the gospel, and living life [by His grace] as a good example. #Done
Now, to all the "normal" people out there, my question to you is this:
Do you know God? If you know God, you will [want to] serve Him.
You will be strange and different to the world; this is not something to be ashamed of. #JesusFreak
Being godly but strange is good.
